MyBackups

Privacy policy

Last updated 1 October 2026

MyBackups is a private tool used by a single person to back up their own servers and personal data to their own Google Drive account. It isn't offered to anyone else.

Google data the app accesses

The app requests only Google's drive.file scope. That lets it create, read and delete the files it has created itself in the owner's Google Drive. It can't see, read or change any other files in the account.

How the data is used

  • To store backup data and to restore it when needed.
  • Backup data is encrypted on the owner's own machines before upload, so Google Drive holds encrypted data only.

Sharing

No data is shared with, sold to, or made available to any third party.

Retention

Backups are kept on a rotating schedule set by the owner. Older copies are removed automatically. The owner can delete the backup data at any time, and can revoke the app's access from their Google account settings.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page will be updated.
